Gas Leak

Tara and Michael's van experienced a gas leak last night on their way down to our beach house. They called AAA and then, all of a sudden, they were surrounded with two fire trucks and five police cars!!! Tara took a picture of the scene with her cell phone so it is a bit hazy. The car needed to be towed! A friend came to the scene and lent them their car which was so kind. They are safe and sound at our beach house. We are hoping to take them boating this morning before our flight to Florida today.

Sweet writing from Callen Maeve

I copied the following from Michael's Blog. Callen is such a sensitive sweet grandchild! She is learning her spiritual lessons and I am very proud of her! Here is a note from her journal:

Chapter 2 (she titled it, awesome:)Callen Leahy9 yrs old"I'm going into 4th grade and I got a nice teacher named Ms. Dubroski. In third grade I had a teacher named Mrs. Cavaliere. I met a friend named Erin and she turned out to be my best friend. I had the best classmates! When I found out I had nobody in my new 4th grade class I didn't want to be in her class. I was split from my two best friends. Shakira moved to California and Erin got moved to Ms. Chicilease's class. My mom said that I would make new friends. My mom also said "God will take care of us."When I went to this service (tonight) I realized my mom was right. Sure, I miss Chapter 1 but I'll adjust to Chapter 2 in time. And I know God will be with me the whole time.

They lived in the pool all afternoon! We are expecting Tara and Michael and the children sometime today. We miss you Erin and Corey!!!

Maggie had the BEST smile!

It is with mixed emotions that I write this post. This coming Monday marks the one year anniversary of a great loss to our family. Our niece and nephew, along with his girlfriend died in a tragic house fire on the Eastern Shore of Maryland. My life will never be the same as a result of this tragedy. Life went on over this last year. Our family has had three children and a marriage take place in the last 12 months. We miss Kennedy, Christine and Maggie greatly. I wanted to post a few pictures so you can think of our family over the next few days.
