Erin and Corey Skyped us this morning! They are having a blast in Australia. We all miss eachother! I decided to take a picture of them while chatting, it was 1 AM for them, they are tucked in bed and tired! WE MISS YOU TWO!!!
My side of the family got together last night for a Chrismas Eve Dinner at The Barge in Perth Amboy. A fun time was had by all. MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE!
OK.......so what were you thinking while you viewed these pictures? For the last FIVE days, John and I have been non stop in trying to get all we need to do for Christmas. If it has not been bad enough with John's computer crashing twice and our endless travels from house to house for three of our four daughters.......and a non stop shopping day in preparation for the families arriving on Christmas and the day after. So what do we walk into this afternoon? YUP, you got it......a fallen tree!!!!! This has been a two hour set back for us. We hope to start to wrap our gifts tonight, but I don't think so. We are exhausted. The sun will come out tomorrow!!!
We had a great weekend. We got to hear Callen's SOLO in her Christmas Program this past Saturday, what a SWEET voice Callie has!!!! Sara and Maura got to spend Friday to Sunday morning together, COUSINS! They remind me of my Tara and my niece Rosemarie, they loved to play as little girls!!! We got to PA on Sunday afternoon and had some fun at the B Fam. We made Sugar Cookies, yum yum!!!! Matthew made some of his most YUMMY pizza for dinner. A fun time was had by all!!!! We are back on the island and must needs finish shopping, wrapping and food shopping for the events to unfold!!!
Here are Maggie, Maura and Sara! Santa came early this year and I have a brand new APPLE computer! I am new with MAC so it is going to take some getting use to! I have managed to upload some pictures and get this one onto my blog. I have some busy days ahead of me with Christmas coming......
This Snowbird is boarding a plane to Atlantic City, NJ tomorrow morning. Once up in the COLD north country, I must needs go and buy a LIVE Christmas Tree to place at our beach house. I will spend all day Friday decorating this tree and house for the holiday season. We will host our family the day after Christmas, 17 of us minus Erin and Corey who abide in Singapore. (I will GREATLY miss them) On December 27, it is our "turn" to host the EXTENDED FITZ FAM and we'll do it at our house. We are up to about 40 people for this event!!!! YIKES!!!!! I put out a menu for people to "fill in the blanks" with great success. I guess you can say that I have a lot on my plate while in THE GARDEN STATE!!!! We'll be back to "PARADISE" New Year's Eve and ready to party hardy!!!!
My friend has a sewing room beyond belief!!!! These pictures do not capture the feel of her room. She has SEVEN sewing machines!!!!!! I took a few pics share what I saw today!!! Carolyn made all of the things you see here. She use to teach in Colorado. Check out her bookcase of reference material!!! By the way, Carolyn has won national awards for some of her projects!!!
We had a nice day of boating to Parrot Key for lunch with the Power Squadron. Our friends, Al and Carolyn, own a beautiful boat and invited us to go along with them today. We had a great time.
John and I went up to Disney this past Friday to visit the Leahy's while they were on vacation. We spent Friday relaxing by the pool, followed by dinner and a fun time of shopping at the Marketplace. We got up early Saturday and spent all day at Animal Kingdom. We had an early dinner and hit the road to get back home late Saturday night. We had a GREAT TIME!!!!!!!
Callen, Maura and Maggie look so beautiful with their faces painted!
Michael looks like a "homeless" person as he napped by Dino!
