John and I like to come down to Florida in July. John does some business and it gives us an opportunity to check on our condo. I like to go to our Mango Festival. I took a few pictures and wanted to post them for you to see.

We took an evening boat ride last night with our friend Janice. On the way back to our house, we saw the sun reflecting onto the windows of our home. I had my camera with me and was able to get this neat photo to share with you.

Flags and Crabs

John loves flags. He ordered a bunch online the other day. The flags arrived on Monday. Today they all went up. We have five out by our dock and three by our house. I wanted to post them for you to see.

John and I were sitting outside this afternoon enjoying a beautiful day on the bay. All of a sudden a seagull grabbed a crab and went on our neighbor's dock to bang it to death. I used my zoom to try to capture the moment. The crab was still alive at the time I took the photo.

This past Saturday we drove to the Eastern Shore of Maryland to attend Garrett's graduation party. Garrett attended the University of Delaware and we are quite proud of his academic accomplishment. We drove down with Katie, Corey and Nancy. We were fortunate to make it in 3 1/2 hours. Matthew and Peggy bought a home in Easton, they will live in it while they rebuild their home on the Miles River. There were at least 200 people at this event. The Matthew Fitzgerald Family really know how to throw a party! They had a pig roast which was a big hit. The other treat was a bunch of Maryland crabs, many were busy at the two picnic tables set up for this food. There was a large tent set up which had several tables and chairs for us to sit down and enjoy our meal. John built Matthew and Peggy a corn hole game as a house warming gift, it was a very big hit at the party. I understand that the party lasted until 2 AM the next morning. We made it a day trip, arriving back on the island at midnight.

There were eleven.............

John and I have been seeing a mother duck with eleven babies. The other day we noticed that one was missing. I managed to get mother and 10 babies with my camera early this morning...........I was in the right place at the right time.

John and I met Ken and Marcia Leahy today for lunch in Haddonfield, NJ. We meet half way each June to visit a town we've never been to before. This year was historic Haddonfield.

John and I enjoyed a day in Philly on Saturday. Our friend's daughter got married at an old church in town. The reception was held in the North Waiting Room in the station. It was a very elaborate and large reception facility right at the train station. The couple met on a subway in Boston. Ken and Christina got engaged on a subway platform! They thought having a wedding reception at a train station would be a great celebration.

We enjoyed Father's Day here on the island. John and I went to church, came home and hung out the entire day with the family. We missed The Leay and Reed's, but enjoyed the Krason's and Bona's. Matthew and Matthew went fishing up at the Lighthouse, no luck. The grandkids made a "DAD" cake and had so much fun in the process. Katie had bought some hamburger steaks and crab cakes from QVC, YUM YUM. The boys played some Corn Hole Toss out in our front driveway while the grandkids played outside. It was a good day.
