At Long Last

I don't have any pictures to post, but know that I have not been on the blog in a long time! We have been so super busy with our move to South West Florida that I have not had time to even take a photo! We are so thankful for all that God has done in our lives over the last few months! He has worked out each and every detail of our move that I can't begin to write into words His amazing grace on our behalf! We have been so busy of late, unpacking the multiple boxes of 38 years of marriage! Now the challenge is: Where do we put all of our "stuff"? Stay tuned..................

Callen's 10th Birthday Sleep Over

Callen and five other ten year olds enjoyed two days here at our beach house to celebrate Callen's birthday. It was so much fun to watch these kids!

Think back ten years! We did not have any grandkids, we were ten years younger, packing up our youngest to go off to Virginia Tech. We had one out of four married and were living in the Annapolis area of Maryland. Ten years later, ten years older and I can't even count all of the moves we have made as far as housing. We have all four daughters married and a grand total of 20 in our immmedidate family! I wonder what I will write TEN years from now?

Bittersweet Day

Today marks ONE YEAR since I have seen Erin and Corey.........
I am sad because I miss them so much, but happy for them and the life that they are experiencing overseas!

A week with Callen, Maggie and Maura

We had a fun week with the Callen, Maggie and Maura. The kids loved watching DVD's while traveling in the car. They really got into the Planet Earth Series. We took them to a Shark Study at the Rutgers Research Center to learn about sharks. We had a fun lunch at Stewart's Root Beer that day. The following day we went blueberry picking which is always an enjoyable time with the grandkids. In between events, the kids lived in our backyard pool or enjoyed crabbing out on our dock. On Thursday, we went on a day trip to the Adventure Aquarium. They got to see the shark tunnel and loved seeing all they had learned at the shark study. The kids went to their cousin's DVBS closing program on Friday and got to spend the afternoon with them here at the house. ( The Krason girls also spent Tuesday afternoon with us) Pop helped the kids build cardboard box boats for the Saturday morning Boating Event at the Barnegat Bay Beach. We gave Callen an early birthday present of a "cell" phone that afternoon before picking up Tara and Michael at the airport. T&M had a fun vacation in Mexico while Pop and Grandma had a fantastic time with three of our ten grandchildren!

We had a wonderful weekend in Lynchburg, VA at Scott and Jessica's wedding! John and I were in it.....we did a shared scripture reading.
